Spiritbox Mississauga Concert reviews
Good but certainly not their best performance...
This was my 3rd time seeing Spiritbox and to be honest, it was a bit disappointing. The disappointment mainly stemmed from their latest album, which took a different direction compared to their previous two albums that were more energetic and catchy. However, I must say that the album is not bad, just different; it has a mellower vibe. They did perform some of their popular songs, but the overall atmosphere was a departure from their previous shows.
I was particularly unimpressed by their extended cover performance, possibly an Allman Brothers song. Normally, I enjoy their covers, but this one fell short with its excessive length. On the bright side, their other cover songs were well done!
The venue itself was stunning, and I had a wonderful time despite the minor disappointments. I will definitely continue to attend their shows whenever they are in town. It seems challenging for them to surpass the success of their previous tours with their fantastic albums. Perhaps fatigue from the current tour is a factor in their slightly different creative direction, as they mentioned working on side projects during the show.
